Bravantice (German Brosdorf , formerly Brofansdorf ) is a village in Moravian Silesia ( Czech Republic ). The municipality is located southwest of Ostrava and between Klimkovice and Bílovec .
history
The first written mention is from the year 1370. In the 15th century the old knight family of Pivec von Hratschein and Klimstein resided in Bravantice, Werner Pivec von Hratschein and Klimstein died in 1431 on his property village Bravantice. From 1478 to 1602 the owners of Chobřany were Polish nobles.
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Wagstadt district until 1945 .
From July 7th to 9th 1997 there was a flood in Bravantice that damaged the Church of St. Valentine and the historic bridge in front of the castle.
