history

Probably the first paseken (single strikes) appeared in the municipality at the beginning of the 14th century after the establishment of Frenštát. From the year 1600 a number of 36 such solitary farms was first handed down and about 150 years later their number had grown to around 200. The Pasekars were subject to the service of both the episcopal rule Hukvaldy and the city of Frenštát and, after the settlement grew, they had a strong interest in founding a manorial village in order to free themselves of their obligations to the city.

In 1748 the Olomouc bishop Ferdinand Julius von Troyer complied with the wishes of the settlers and appointed Václav Košárek as governor of the Pasekarendorf. On August 30, 1758, the bishop issued the charter for the village of Troyersdorf named after him . In the following time, the Czech name form Trojanovice and derived from the German name form Trojanowitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial, Trojanovice / Trojanowitz formed a municipality in the Mistek district from 1850. At this time, a great wave of emigration to North America began, which lasted until the beginning of the 20th century. Around 500 residents left Trojanovice during this time and settled mainly in the central Texas towns of Fayetteville , Weimar , Hostyna and Dubiny . During the time of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, the place got the old name Troyersdorf back. In 1940 the Ráztoky-Pustevny cable car went into operation. The construction of this chairlift was unique in the world. The valley station is at the Hotel Ráztoka in 620 m. ü. M. After the Second World War Trojanovice was assigned to the Okres Frenštát pod Radhoštěm and came to the Okres Frýdek-Místek in 1961 after its dissolution .
