Bernartice nad Odrou (German Barnsdorf ) is a municipality in the Moravian-Silesian region in the east of the Czech Republic .
location
The agricultural place is surrounded by fields and forests, in the nature reserve Poodří , 5 km northwest of the town of Nový Jičín . The Dálnice 1 motorway runs another 5 km to the northwest .
history
The village was first mentioned in documents in 1374.
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich and belonged to the Neu Titschein district until 1945 .
In 1980 Bernatice was incorporated into Nový Jičín, but has been independent again since 1991.
