Pizza gang

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Die Pizza-Gange is a German book and radio play series by various authors that was published between 1984 and 1995. It is about four young people who experience all kinds of detective adventures.

Content and characters

The four main characters Tommi , Milli , Schräubchen and TH live in the fictional Upper Bavarian town of Sommerberg and attend the sixth grade of a secondary school. The two boys go to one class together, as do the two girls.

  • Tommi's real name is Tommaso Carotti. His parents Gina and Francesco Carotti owned the Mamma Gina pizzeria in downtown Sommerberg.
  • Milli's real name is Anna Obermaier. It owes its nickname to its love of milk. She lives with her parents on a farm outside the city and occasionally has to help them there.
  • Little screw is actually called Stephanie Wagner. Her father has a car repair shop where she always played with screws as a small child.
  • TH is actually called Walther Roland. He always emphasizes the "TH" in his name, which is how he got his nickname. He lives with his divorced father.

A back room of Tommi's parents' pizzeria is the regular meeting place for the quartet. Due to their thirst for adventure as well as their unwavering helpfulness and sincerity, the four friends are regularly involved in all kinds of criminal cases. In doing so, they always succeed in making a decisive contribution to the just punishment of the perpetrators, even if Inspector Mauser (in some editions Commissioner Mauser ) from the Sommerberg police, who is constantly annoyed by the constant interference of the pizza gang in his work, often annoys them who has to help.

The book series

The books were written by Ursel Scheffler , Tina Caspari , Matthias Martin , Elvira Hoffmann , Max Kruse , Margot Potthoff , Evelyne Kolnberger , Rainer M. Schröder , Wolfgang Hohlbein and Manfred Böckl, among others . The cover illustrations are by Gisela Könemund . The books were published by Franz Schneider Verlag . In an interview with Ursel Scheffler, she stated: "The series" Pizzabande "was created on behalf of the publisher. That means that two or three authors developed the protagonists and scenery together with the editors of the then very large publisher a "Bible" developed for the characters and locations, drawings etc. as information for everyone. I wrote the volumes that play in the Pizzeria Mama Gina and also developed the ideas and crime scene sketches for them. As far as I know, Tina Caspari wrote mainly the volumes, playing on Milli's farm. "

This concerted action enabled the first volumes to appear very quickly. When the Schneider Verlag was then sold and downsized and finally moved to the Egmont Group in Cologne , all programs of the Schneiderbuch Verlag were radically cut and rows were removed.

The radio play series was continued with new speakers from Schneider Ton , starting with the eleventh book. Confusingly, the numbering has been reset and started over from 1. The radio plays are an implementation of books 2 and 6 as well as 8 to 17, without adhering to the order of the book series. As with the Europa series, the ninth and tenth episodes were announced in the inlay of the eighth episode, but never appeared. All episodes produced by Schneider-Ton were digitally republished in 2018 by All Ears GmbH .
