Plösitz is part of the Saxon town of Taucha in the northern Saxony district .

Plösitz is about 1.5 kilometers southeast of the city center of Taucha. The Parthe flowing westward runs north of the village .
Neighboring towns of Plösitz are Dewitz in the northeast, Sehlis in the east, Panitzsch in the southeast, Sommerfeld in the southwest and Taucha in the west and northwest.
history
The first documented form of place names dates from 1378 as Blosicz . In 1821 August Schumann named Plösitz in the State, Post and Newspaper Lexicon of Saxony concerning a. a .:
“It belongs in writing to the council of Leipzig , has 11 houses, 60 inhabitants, 9 of whom are farmers and a mill estate. The place is parish to Taucha and has 19 magazine hooves. "
Albert Schiffner added or corrected 1833, among others:
"It belongs officially to the Rg. Taucha, u. has G. 80 pop. "
Until 1856, Plösitz was part of the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon District Office in Leipzig . From 1856 the place belonged to the Taucha court office and from 1875 to the Leipzig District Administration . On April 1, 1937, Plösitz was incorporated into Taucha.
