The Planetal nature reserve is located in the municipality of Rabenstein / Fläming in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1260 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of October 19, 1967 . The approximately 109 hectare nature reserve extends west of Rädigke , a district of the municipality of Rabenstein / Fläming, along the Plane , a left tributary of the Havel . State road L 84 runs through the western part of the area and south of it, and A 9 runs south-east . The 39 hectare nature reserve Rabenstein extends to the southwest .
