The nature reserve Lienewitz-Caputher lake and wetland chain is located in the area of ​​the communities Schwielowsee and Michendorf in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1517 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of June 10, 2002 . The approximately 368 ha large nature reserve with the 13.8 hectares of the Great and the Small Lienewitzsee and the southern part of the 48-hectare Caputher lake stretches south of Caputh , a district of Schwielowsee. The A 10 runs to the south and the B2 to the east . The 786 hectare Schwielowsee stretches west of the area .
