The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is a smartphone / phablet developed by the manufacturer Xiaomi and sold under the Pocophone sub-brand.
Availability
Sales of the Pocophone F1 first started in India. The smartphone is also available in many other regions, including 30 European countries including Austria , Switzerland and France . In Germany the Pocophone is not officially sold F1.
Root and Custom ROMs
The bootloader of the Pocophone F1 can be unlocked with the software Mi Unlock for Microsoft Windows provided by the manufacturer . It is thus also possible to install a custom ROM or to gain root access . However, the manufacturer specifies a waiting time before the bootloader can be unlocked.

The Pocophone F1 is in many reviews of various magazines such as B. Chip or Computer Bild praised because of the powerful hardware and the low price. In addition to the positive properties such as the large battery, other properties such as the plastic back that does not protect against water are criticized. It was also criticized that the DRM protection Widevine L1 is not included, which is required to stream films on Netflix and Amazon Prime in HD . In mid-February 2019, Xiaomi published an update for this, which raised the Widevine level to L1.
