history

Grenzdörfel was laid out in 1780 by the Braunau monastery on Ruppersdorfer rustic grounds and assigned to the Ruppersdorfer court.

In 1833 the village of Gränzdörfel in the Königgrätzer Kreis consisted of 15 houses in which 87 people lived. The main source of income was spinning and weaving. Gränzdörfel went to school in Wiesen ; The parish was Wernersdorf . The village remained subject to the Braunau monastery until the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial , Grenzdörfl formed a part of the municipality of Ruppersdorf in the judicial district of Braunau from 1849 . The residents of the village, however, have always been strongly connected to meadows, where they attended the services in the subsidiary church of the Holy Mother Anna and the children went to school; the way to Ruppersdorf was twice as long and also led over a ridge. In 1868 Grenzdörfl was assigned to the Braunau district . At the beginning of the 20th century Grenzdörfel consisted of 13 houses, including an inn. When the community of Ruppersdorf decided to increase the community levy to finance the school expansion from 1905, this was the reason for the residents of Grenzdörfel to move to Wiesen. After the establishment of Czechoslovakia , Pomeznice was introduced as the official Czech place name.

After the Munich Agreement , Grenzdörfel was added to the German Reich in autumn 1938 and belonged to the Braunau district until 1945 . After the end of the Second World War, Pomeznice came back to Czechoslovakia and the German population was expelled . Most of the houses remained uninhabited and were later demolished. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 the Okres Broumov was abolished, since then Pomeznice has belonged to the Okres Náchod. In 1961 the village was incorporated into Meziměstí together with Vižňov. In 1991 Pomeznice had a permanent resident. In 2001 the village consisted of three houses and had four residents. Pomeznice today consists of seven houses, most of which are no longer used for residential purposes.

Local division

The district is part of the Vižňov cadastral district.
