The Prater is a large discotheque in Bochum - Hofstede .

history

The Prater was opened in 1990 by restaurateur Hubert Grote as a dance café with a sophisticated ambience. In 1994 the area with the cathedral , a former squash hall, was expanded to 5000 m² and from then on it is one of the largest discos in Germany. In 1998 and 2004 the operators changed. With at least four different clubs under one roof, different tastes should be served.
