AronChupa (born March 30, 1991 in Borås , Västra Götalands län ; real name Aron Michael Ekberg ) is a Swedish music producer who achieved his breakthrough in 2014 with the song I'm an Albatraoz . He is active in the genres of house and hip-hop .
Career
Aron Ekberg gained his first success in autumn 2013 when he joined the five-man Swedish music group Albatraoz , with which he is also a member of the fourth-rate Swedish football club Byttorps IF . In November 2014, the group reached the Swedish charts with the song Albatraoz .
In 2014 Ekberg decided to play solo in the field of house music. He then published the songs Løvenes Konge and Pollo under the pseudonym DJ AronBri . Shortly thereafter, he renamed himself AronChupa and in spring 2014 released the EP Russ on the music platform Spotify, which featured his songs, which he released as DJ AronBi, as well as the new songs Animaniacs , The Hoods and Wunderbaar . The title was chosen because the songs were sung in Russian. After the tracks of the EP brought great success, especially on YouTube, Ekberg produced the song Copacabana , which was published on the Internet as a download in early summer 2014. The song was the first to embody the Melbourne Bounce-only style of AronChupa.
In the summer of 2014 Ekberg rewrote the text of the song Albatraoz and produced a suitable instrumental, the verse of which consists of hip-hop and drop from Melbourne bounce elements. This ultimately resulted in the song I'm an Albatraoz , to which his sister Nora Ekberg (born 1996, stage name Little Sis Nora ) contributed the vocals. Using Spotify - streaming and a solo record deal with Sony Music won the song popularity and was the official single charts in several Northern European countries aboard. The song reached the top of the charts in Sweden and Denmark as well as top 10 positions in over ten countries. The success spread worldwide and AronChupa hit the charts in Canada, Australia and Ireland. The music video also achieved great popularity, having been viewed more than 1.1 billion times on YouTube and received over 7.5 million positive reviews. The song was also awarded platinum several times.
In October 2014 the song Heaven on Earth was released as part of the Russ Festival . It is sung, like I'm an Albatraoz , by his sister Nora. The track Fired Cuz I Was Late was released on November 20, 2015. In contrast to the previous singles, this one contained far more swing characteristics. The song reached number 100 in the Swedish singles charts. In February 2016, the title Little Swing was published in collaboration with his sister, who was first named as "Little Sis Nora" . On Aviciis "PRMD Recordings" he published together with the Dub - House duo Cazzette and the British music group The High the Jazz - Trap -Crossover She Wants Me Dead , which was able to record especially in streaming services success.
In the late summer of 2016 he released Grandpa’s Groove together with the Austrian jazz DJ Parov Stelar . Here, too, Little Sis Nora gave the song the vocals. Here the Melbourne bounce basic elements took a back seat and the jazz and swing characteristics formed the main character traits. Bad Water was the last release in 2016. This was created together with the music trio J & The People.
