PW 305

The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW300 is a family of turbofan engines in the thrust range from 20 to 35 kN that have been specially developed for business jets. The basic construction consists of a single-stage fan, driven by a three-stage low-pressure turbine , a four-stage axial and single-stage centrifugal high pressure compressor , driven by a two-stage high pressure turbine, and an annular combustion chamber . Some versions have a non-mixing nozzle, but the PW306 and PW308 include a forced draft mixer for the exhaust jet. The engines are powered by a FADEC-System controlled.

The PW300 is used in the Learjet 60 , Cessna Citation Sovereign , Gulfstream G200 , Hawker 1000 , Dassault Falcon 7X , Fairchild-Dornier 328JET and White Knight Two, among others .

The PW307 was specially developed for the three-turbine arrangement of the Dassault Falcon 7X . It was approved by the Canadian Aviation Administration in March 2005.
