Privádzač rýchlostnej cesty PR3 (Slovak for "expressway feeder PR3"), PR3 for short , is a 12.7 km long road in Slovakia classified as an expressway feeder, but not signposted as such . It is part of the inner bypass of Košice and runs as a direct continuation of the D1 motorway in Budimír to the Košice-VSS junction south of the city center. The second part of the bypass to Košice- Šaca is the administrative, not signposted part of the R2 expressway .
It was created through the rededication of 1st order roads 50 (section Prešovská-Sečovská to Košice-VSS) and 68 (Budimír to Prešovská-Sečovská), has two lanes continuously in each direction and is mostly signposted as a car road. It is operated by the Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, as motorway company, does not require a vignette and the speed limit is mostly 90 km / h (within built-up areas) or 130 km / h (outside built-up areas), in some places 70 km / h or 50 km / h (junction Prešovská-Sečovská). Despite the absence of crossings and separate lanes, there are still pedestrian crossings (some are regulated by traffic lights) and bus stops.
history
Construction began in the late 1980s with the construction of part of the feeder from the recently completed D1 motorway in Budimír. But only with the completion of the Prešovská-Sečovská junction in 2008, which replaced a traffic light crossing at the same point, the current state was achieved.
The rededication took place in 2011 and has been in street directories since 2012.
