The Prix Billie Holiday is a jazz prize that was awarded from 1973 by the Académie du Jazz to the best album in the field of jazz singing ( meilleure nouveauté vocale ). From 1984 to 1997 the best re-release of the year ( réédition ) was also awarded; from 1998 the prize was renamed Prix du Jazz Vocal .
