The Proteus is a ferry of the Greek shipping company ANES Lines that was put into service in 1973 . It has been in use since 2013 on the route from Volos via Skiathos , Skopelos and Alonnisos to Mantoudi .

history

The Proteus was built under the hull number 107 in the shipyard of G. Koronaios Bros. Ltd. in Perama and was delivered to Tyrogalas Lines in December 1973 . The commissioning took place in the same month on the route from Zakynthos to Kyllini .

After more than 30 years under the same owner and the same route, the ship became the property of ANES Lines in January 2006. From then on, the ferry was in use between Rhodes , Symi , Tilos , Nisyros , Kos and Kastelorizo , where it remained until January 2013. The Proteus has been operating on its current route from Volos via Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonnisos via Mantoudi since May 2013 . From February to March 2016, the ship was back in operation for a short time under the charter of Kefalonia Lines between the ports of Zakynthos and Kyllini.
