Protomotors was a South Korean body and automobile manufacturer founded in 1997 .
The company was founded by a married couple, the man previously working at SsangYong Motor Company and the woman at Asia Motors . In addition to the production of the "Proto Spirra" sports car, Proto manufactured small series and body versions such as convertibles and stretch limousines for the Korean automobile manufacturers Kia Motors , Hyundai Motor Company and GM Daewoo .
Protomotors was acquired in May 2007 by Oullim Motors , a subsidiary of Oullim Networks founded in July 2006 . Between 2010 and 2017 the Spirra was available under new ownership as " Oullim Spirra ".
