The CT & T Corporation is a manufacturer of electric-powered light vehicles and golf caddies in Dangjin , South Korea .

history

The company was founded in 2002 by Young Gi Lee, a former manager of Hyundai Motor Company . CT&T has been active in the Korean market for golf trolleys since 2006 and was able to achieve a market share of 46% in the first year.

In 2008 a production in the Fiji Islands was negotiated. This project was rejected again. In 2009, a cooperation with the Chinese automotive supplier Wonder Auto from Jinzhou became known. A sales price of around 4,100 euros was named. An expansion with production facilities in the USA announced from 2009 - including in Hawaii , South Carolina and Pennsylvania - was not implemented due to liquidity problems. The subsidiary CT&T United , founded in the USA, continued to exist.

CT / & T attracted particular attention at the Detroit Motor Show 2010. The information that was rumored during this appearance - including an annual production of up to 60,000 vehicles - cannot be confirmed with independent sources. This also applies to plans to set up regional assembly and distribution centers or to sell 300,000 electric vehicles worldwide by 2013. In 2010, the Korean company SK innovation Institute of Technology Innovation was the supplier of the vehicle batteries.

Model overview

24 models were presented at the Detroit Motor Show 2010. These included the C2, a sporty two-seater with an alleged top speed of 150 km / h, the City EV , the eZone light vehicle and the cZone golf cart. A police version and a “mobile cafeteria” also received special mention.
