Rémi Borgeot (born March 21, 1989 ) is a former French biathlete .

Rémi Borgeot starts for the Club des Sports Megéve . He contested his first international races in 2006 as part of the junior races of the IBU Cup . His first major international event was the 2007 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Martell , where the Frenchman finished 23rd in the individual, 47th in the sprint, 32nd in the pursuit and 13th in the relay. In 2008 he won the silver medal in the sprint race behind Uladsimir Aljanischka in Ruhpolding , was sixth in the pursuit and individual and fifth in the relay race with Ludwig Ehrhart , Martin Fourcade and Jean-Guillaume Béatrix . In the further course of the year he took part in the roller ski junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Haute-Maurienne and finished eleventh in the sprint and eighth in the pursuit. This was followed by the 2009 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Canmore , in which Borgeot was 54th of the individual, 33rd of the sprint, 27th of the pursuit and fifth in the relay with Mathieu Souchal , Yann Guigonnet and Jean-Guillaume Béatrix. The last Junior World Championships were the 2010 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Torsby , where he was eighth in the sprint and eleventh in the pursuit. With Souchal, Ehrhart and Guigonnet he won the silver medal behind the German representation as the starting runner with the relay. Shortly thereafter, he also took part in the junior races of the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää . Borgeot won the individual bronze medal behind Andrei Turgenew and Andrij Wosnjak , was 17th in the sprint, seventh in the pursuit and won the mixed relay title with Leslie Mercier , Sophie Boilley and Yann Guigonnet.

Borgeot has been competing in the men's race since the 2008/09 season. He contested his first races here as part of the IBU Cup in Obertilliach , where he finished 92nd in the individual and won first points in the following sprint as 25th. In 2011 in Osrblie he achieved his first top ten placement as tenth of an individual and improved this to eighth place in Annecy . The first major event was the 2011 European Biathlon Championships in Ridnaun . Borgeot finished 44th in the individual, 40th in the sprint and 23rd in the pursuit. In the relay race, he finished sixth with Béatrix, Ehrhart and Florent Claude .
