Röllingsen is a district of Soest in Westphalia . It is located southwest of Soest, neighbors in the east are Epsingsen , in the north-east, beyond the BAB 44 , Ampen , with which Röllingsen has long been connected by the Röllingser Graben , in the north Enkesen (near Paradiese), in the north-east Ostönnen and in the west den Enser district Sieveringen . Röllingsen has a joint mayor with the neighboring Epsingsen.

history

Röllingsen is first mentioned in a document in 1232 with the name Rollechusen. This mention was made on the occasion of the sale of a hoof in Lütgenampen to the Hohe Hospital in Soest. The name means something like "in the houses of the people of Hrōdilo", where Hrodilo (Ruodilo) is an old German personal name.

Due to the Soest / Beckum law , Röllingsen was incorporated into the district town of Soest on July 1, 1969. After the transition to the city of Soest, the village belonged to the Oberbörde .
