Rachel Miner (born July 29, 1980 in New York City ) is an American theater and film actress . Apart from her work as an actress, she made headlines primarily through her marriage to her fellow actor Macaulay Culkin , with whom she was married from June 21, 1998 to August 5, 2002.

life and work

Miner comes from a family of filmmakers. She is the daughter of film director Peter Miner and the granddaughter of director and film producer Worthington Miner and actress Frances Fuller . She began to be interested in acting at the age of two and took her first acting lessons at the age of eight, when she was accepted into an acting agency at the age of nine . At the age of 17 she made her debut on Broadway - later she also played in front of the film camera in various theater plays - in Wendy Kesselman's adaptation of the Diary of Anne Frank (1996/1997), directed by James Lapine. She made her comrade debut in a small role in Woody Allen's film Alice (1990), followed by an engagement in the US soap opera Springfield Story . Initially only a few appearances were planned with her, but they changed the script and secured her such a small contract role so that she could play in the series for almost five years. For her performance in Springfield Story , she received the Young Artist Awards and an Emmy nomination. She also had a supporting role in the series Californication as a secretary. In 2009 she took on the role of Jenna Reide in the film Butterfly Effect 3 - The Revelation . She also played the recurring role of the Meg Masters in seasons 5 through 8 of the series Supernatural .
