Radoslaw Jankow (born January 26, 1990 in Smoljan ) is a Bulgarian snowboarder . He starts in the parallel disciplines.

Career

Jankow started in Nendez in January 2006 for the first time in the European Cup and finished 60th in the parallel slalom . In January 2007 he came in 45th place in the parallel slalom at the Snowboard World Championships in Arosa . The following month he won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Jaca . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he made his debut in Landgraaf in the World Cup and achieved 41st place in the parallel slalom. In the further course of the season he won gold in the parallel slalom at the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2008 in Chiesa in Valmalenco . The following year he finished 39th in the parallel giant slalom and 29th in the parallel slalom at the Snowboard World Championships in Gangwon . As in the previous year, he won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom at the 2009 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Nagano . At the Snowboard World Championships 2011 in La Molina , he won 51st place in the parallel giant slalom and 33rd place in the parallel slalom. In the 2011/12 season he achieved his first top ten results in the European Cup with two seventh places in Marianske Lazne and Sochi . At the Snowboard World Championships 2013 in Stoneham , he came in 41st place in the parallel giant slalom and 34th place in the parallel slalom. At his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014, he finished 25th in the parallel giant slalom and 21st in the parallel slalom. In the 2014/15 season he came in Carezza with 18th place in the parallel giant slalom for the first time among the top 20 in the World Cup. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he achieved 32nd place in the parallel giant slalom and 27th place in the parallel slalom. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he achieved his first podium finish in the European Cup with second place in the parallel slalom in Landgraaf. This was followed by two victories at the European Cup in Hochfügen . At the first parallel World Cup of the season in Carezza , he surprisingly won the parallel giant slalom. After finishing ninth in the parallel slalom at the World Cup in Cortina d'Ampezzo , he won his second World Cup victory in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein . This was followed by three more top ten placements in the World Cup, including second place in the parallel giant slalom in Rogla . At the end of the season he reached third place in the Parallel Slalom World Cup, second place in the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup and first place in the Parallel World Cup. After third place in the European Cup in Landgraaf at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, he came third and twice in second place in nine World Cup appearances. In addition, he won his third World Cup victory in the parallel giant slalom in Bansko , winning the parallel giant slalom world cup at the end of the season and finishing second in the parallel world cup. At the season highlight of the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he finished sixth in the parallel slalom and fourth in the parallel giant slalom. In the 2017/18 season he took seven top ten placements, including second place in the parallel giant slalom in Rogla, tenth place in the parallel slalom world cup, eighth place in the parallel giant slalom world cup and sixth place in the parallel world cup . At the highlight of the season, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he came 19th in the parallel giant slalom. The following year he went to the World Championships in Park City on the 26th place in the parallel giant slalom and on the seventh place in the parallel slalom.

Jankow was Bulgarian champion in parallel giant slalom in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2017, 2018 and 2019, in 2012, 2017, 2018 and 2019 in parallel slalom and in 2013 in giant slalom.
