Andresen made his debut in the Scandinavian Cup in Sjusjøen over 10 km freestyle in January 2007 and achieved his first point placement in December 2008 with 29th place in the sprint in Lygna . At the Rollerski World Championships in Piglio in 2009 he won the bronze medal with the Norwegian relay. In the Rollerski World Cup 2010 Andresen achieved a total of four victories and finished the season in second place overall. At the Rollerski World Championships in 2011 and 2019 , he won gold in the sprint. In 2013, 2015 and 2017 Andresen was roller ski world champion in team sprint and also won bronze in 2013 and silver in sprint in 2019. In the summer of 2017 he achieved third place in the overall ranking of the Rollerski World Cup with two second and one third place .
