Rollerski World Championships 2013

The 7th Rollerski World Championships took place from September 3 to 8, 2013 in Bad Peterstal , Germany . The world championships were part of the Rollerski World Cup . Junior competitions were held parallel to the adult competitions.

Competitions

Four competitions were held. The individual race and the team sprint ran through Oberkirch , the sprint and mountain sprint through Bad Peterstal .

Attendees

Including substitutes who only took part in the training rounds, 86 athletes from 15 countries were registered for the World Championships. The strongest field of participants was sent by Russia with 16 participants, ahead of Germany with 11 and Norway with 10 participants. On the other hand, Kazakhstan, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Belarus started with only one participant.

In addition, 50 participants from 11 countries were registered for the junior competitions.

A total of 24 participants started the sprint, of which the 16 fastest had to qualify for the round of 16. Then the knockout system was used to decide on the pairings in the eighth, quarter and semi-finals. The two Italians Alessio Berlanda and Emanuele Sbabo finally contested the final .

A total of 14 participants started the sprint, which started directly in the round of 16 without qualification. Then the knock-out system was used to decide on the pairings in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Maria Magnusson and Anastasia Voronina finally contested the final .
