Rahel Johanna Jankowski

Rahel Johanna Jankowski (* 1988 in Leipzig ) is a German actress .

Life

Rahel Jankowski is the daughter of a Ghana-German and the writer Martin Jankowski . She grew up in Berlin and Luxembourg and graduated from the Georg-Friedrich-Handel-Gymnasium in Berlin in 2009 . From 2011 to 2014 she studied acting at the Bern University of the Arts . As a child, Rahel Jankowski played various roles in larger theater productions, she also enjoyed extensive musical training and participated in numerous concerts and music productions at home and abroad during her school days. As an actress, she first became known to the European public in 2010 with the successful play Verrücktes Blut (by Nurkan Erpulat and Jens Hillje), which took up the German migrant debate and was published in 2011 a. a. was also named “Piece of the Year” ( Theater heute ). Since the 2013/14 season Rahel Jankowski has been playing under the direction of Shermin Langhoff at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin . a. in the 2014 “play of the year” (Theater heute) production It says nothing, the so-called outside .
