Raimund Wörle

Raimund Wörle (born February 19, 1896 in Hötting , † July 29, 1979 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian painter .

Life

Raimund Wörle attended the state trade school in Innsbruck and did internships with the painters Rafael Thaler and Toni Kirchmayr during the holidays . During the First World War he did military service in the Standschützen Battalion in Innsbruck in 1917/1918 . After a year as a prisoner of war in Italy, he settled as a freelance artist in Innsbruck and trained with Toni Kirchmayr, Heinrich Comploj and Max von Esterle . In 1930 he became a member of the artist group "Secession Innsbruck".

Wörle's works include portraits , landscapes and still lifes in all techniques. After the Second World War he created numerous wall paintings on public buildings in Tyrol.
