Rainer Brummer

Rainer Brummer (* 1942 in Abensberg ) is a German Roman Catholic clergyman in the Eichstätt diocese .

Brummer was on June 29, 1969, at the Eichstätt Cathedral by Bishop Alois brake for ordained priests . He then worked in Monheim , Ingolstadt and Nürnberg- Eibach . In 1971 he was appointed chaplain in Weißenburg .

In 1974 he went to the Gnadenthal Gymnasium in Ingolstadt as a religion teacher and at the same time became a spiritual director at Gnadenthal Abbey . In 1975 he was appointed to the faculty , in 1984 to the senior lecturer and in 1992 to the director of studies . In 1997 he became head of the pastoral care / continuing education department at the Episcopal Ordinariate in Eichstätt and Cathedral Chapter in Eichstätt. In 2009 he became Caritas Director and Head of the Caritas and Social Affairs department. In 2012 he retired. From 1990 to 2018 he was diocesan president of the Eichstätter sermons' association .

In 2008 Pope Benedict XVI awarded him the honorary title of chaplain to His Holiness , which is associated with the address Monsignor .

Rainer Brummer lives in Eichstätt .
