The Rambach ( Romansh Rome , Italian Ram ) is a 24.7 kilometer long tributary of the Etsch in Graubünden ( Switzerland ) and in South Tyrol ( Italy ). The Rambach drains an area of about 186 km². It rises below the Ofen Pass near Tschierv , flows through the Münstertal , crosses the border to Italy near Taufers in Münstertal and flows into the Adige near Glurns .

The stream has been placed under protection in the Swiss part and may not be diverted to generate electricity. In the Swiss part there is a fish farm by the brook. The most important tributary is the Valgarolabach. The most important communities are Val Müstair and Taufers in the Münstertal.

A referendum in April 2013 resulted in a narrow majority of 18 votes for the construction of a power plant on Rambach in the Italian part. This means that the last near-natural valley river in South Tyrol can also be used to generate electricity. The concession for the construction of the power plant planned between the municipalities of Taufers im Münstertal and Mals was awarded in 2017.
