Ramdhuni ( Nepali नगरपालिका ) is a city (municipality) in the Sunsari district in the eastern Terai of Nepal .

Ramdhuni is 7 km west of Itahari on the Mahendra Rajmarg highway .

The city emerged as Ramdhuni-Bhasi at the end of 2014 from the merger of the Village Development Committees Bhadgaun Sinawari and Singiya . The urban area covered at that time 48.1 km². After further incorporations, the city was renamed Ramdhuni and then had 51,732 inhabitants and an area of ​​91 km².

Residents

In the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Ramdhuni-Bhasi emerged, had 28,549 inhabitants (14,221 of them male) in 4075 households.
