Ramgram is a city ( municipality ) in the Terai of Nepal .
Ramgram is the administrative headquarters for the Nawalparasi District in the Lumbini Administrative Zone . The former name Parasi (परासी) is still widely used.
The population of Ramgram is mainly Hindu . There is also an important Buddhist cult site, the Ramgram Stupa, nearby . The Jharai River flows through Ramgram to the south. The urban area covers 34.72 km².
