Ramon B. Villena
Ramon Barrera Villena (born March 16, 1939 in Reina Mercedes ) is a Filipino clergyman and emeritus bishop of Bayombong .
Life
Ramon Barrera Villena was ordained a priest on March 30, 1963 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop in Tagum and Titular Bishop of Tucci on March 16, 1982 . The Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines , Archbishop Bruno Torpigliani , donated his episcopal ordination on July 2nd of the same year; Co- consecrators were Teodulfo Sabugal Domingo , Archbishop of Tuguegarao , and Pedro Rosales Dean , Bishop of Tagum.
On August 17, 1985, he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Bayombong. With the resignation of Albert van Overbeke CICM he succeeded him on September 15, 1986 as Bishop of Bayombong.
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on May 28, 2016.
