Reina Mercedes ( Filipino : Bayan ng Reina Mercedes ) is a Filipino municipality in the province of Isabela , Administrative Region II, Cagayan Valley. It has 26,998 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 20 barangays . It is classified as a fourth income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
Reina Mercedes is located in the center of the province. The community lies at the foot of the Cordillera Central in the west and the Sierra Madre in the east, in the valley of the Cagayan River . It is located 379 kilometers north of Manila and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway . The nearest airport is in Cauayan City , which is served by the Cebu Pacific airline four times a week. Their neighboring communities are Burgos in the northwest, Luna in the west, Cauayan City in the south, Naguilian in the east, and Gamu in the north.
