Gamu ( Filipino : Bayan ng Gamu ) is a Filipino township in Isabela Province , Administrative Region II, Cagayan Valley. It has 29,904 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 16 barangays . It is classified as a fourth income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .

Gamu is in the center of the province. The community lies at the foot of the Cordillera Central in the west and the Sierra Madre in the east, in the valley of the Cagayan River . It is 395 km north of Manila and can be reached via the Marhalika Highway . The nearest airport is in Cauayan City , which is served by the Cebu Pacific airline four times a week. Their neighboring communities are Reina Mercedes and Naguilian in the south, Ilagan City in the east, Burgos in the west and Quirino in the north.

Gamu is home to the St. Rose de Lima Church, St. Claire Monastery and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Visitation of Guibang.
