Ramona Bachmann (born December 25, 1990 in Malters ) is a Swiss football player .

Career

society

Bachmann started her career at FC Malters at the age of five . She had previously been the mascot of the club's boys' team, which her father had trained. At the age of 13 she joined the U-18 team of FC Malters and in 2005 became Swiss champion and cup winner in this age group. The following season, she was the youngest player in the National League B .

In 2006 she moved to the reigning champions SC LUwin.ch Lucerne . Until the winter break of the 2006/07 season, she led the scorers list. In early 2007 she signed a one-year contract with Swedish champions Umeå IK . In 2010 the player moved to the WPS in the USA and was part of the Atlanta Beat team . For the 2011 season, Bachmann returned to Umeå IK, but only played one season there and switched to the then Swedish champions LdB FC Malmö in 2012 , who renamed themselves FC Rosengård at the end of 2014 .

On August 26, 2015, Bachmann moved to the German runner-up, VfL Wolfsburg, and received a contract that ran until 2018. The striker moved to one and a half years at Wolfsburg, December 6, 2016. Chelsea FC . On July 3, 2020 it was announced that the Swiss will leave Chelsea after three and a half years and play for Paris Saint-Germain .

National teams

In 2006 she took part with the Swiss team at the U-20 World Cup in Russia , where she was one of the youngest players. A few weeks earlier, she was not allowed to take part in the U-19 European Championship in Switzerland because she was too young.

On June 15, 2007 she made her debut in the Swiss senior national team . She scored eleven goals in the 2013 European Championship qualification , making her the best goalscorer for a team that failed to qualify.

In qualifying for the 2015 World Cup , she made eight appearances in which she scored eight goals, making her the third-best goalscorer of her team to qualify for a World Cup tournament for the first time. At the World Cup, she was used in the three group games in which she scored three goals, as well as in the 0: 1 against the hosts . As one of four European teams eliminated in the round of 16, Switzerland took part in the qualifying tournament for the last European starting place at the 2016 Olympic Games . She was used in the three games and scored the last goal in the 3: 4 against the Dutch women. As third in the group, the Swiss missed the Olympic Games.

In qualifying for the 2017 European Championship , she had seven appearances in which she scored four goals. With eight wins, the Swiss qualified for a European Championship finals for the second time, where they were eliminated as third in the group with one win, one draw and one defeat.

In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , she was used in ten of twelve games, but ultimately failed with her team in the play-offs of the group runners-up to European champions Netherlands.

Bachmann came out in June 2015 . She is in a relationship with Swiss national team colleague Alisha Lehmann , who currently plays for West Ham United .
