Randall Moller (born August 23, 1963 in Red Deer , Alberta , Canada ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player ( defender ) who played in the National Hockey League for the Québec Nordiques , the New York Rangers , the Buffalo Sabers and the Florida Panthers .
Player career
Randy Moller began his career in 1979 with the Red Deer Rustlers in the AJHL ; that season he also played two games for the Billings Bighorns in the Western Hockey League . For the 1980/81 season he moved to the Lethbridge Broncos . After the season, the defender was selected in the draft of the Québec Nordiques in the first round in eleventh position.
His first use for the Nordiques was in the playoffs of the 1981/82 season ; in the 1982/83 season he made the leap into the regular team and was regularly used with the Nordiques.
In 1989 he moved to the New York Rangers. There he spent the next three years. In the 1991/92 season , Moller played some games for the Rangers' farm team , the Binghamton Rangers in the American Hockey League . At the end of the season he moved to the Buffalo Sabers and played there the remaining games of the regular season and the playoffs. There I also spent the next two seasons with a short interlude with the Rochester Americans , the Sabers farm team in the AHL.
Moller ended his career after the 1994/95 season , which he played for the Florida Panthers.
International
Moller represented Canada at the U20 World Cup in the United States and Canada . He was able to book three assists in seven games and celebrate the World Cup with the team.

Others
Moller's brother Mike was also a professional ice hockey player who played in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabers and the Edmonton Oilers . He also took part in the U20 World Cup and was able to celebrate the World Cup together with his brother.
Moller was featured on the cover of the NHLPA '93 video game with Mike Richter and Rod Brind'Amour .
He is the Vice President of Broadcasting & Panthers Alumni and play-by-play radio commentator for the Florida Panthers.
