The Ravensburger Hütte is an Alpine Club hut of the Ravensburg section of the German Alpine Club founded in 1881 . It is located in the Lechquellengebirge in the area of the municipality of Dalaas , not far above the Spullersee (1827 m) on the pasture area southwest of the Brazer Stafel, at the foot of the Spuller-Schafberg (2679 m). For active alpinists and athletes, it is the base and starting point for almost all peaks of the Spullerberge. z. B. for the famous Roggalspitze climbing mountain .

History

The section was looking after the Arlberg area with the 1884 completed Arlbergbahn was much easier to travel, first a hut Plot am Arlberg. After she couldn't find what she was looking for there, she moved to the eastern Lechquellen Mountains and, after 3½ months of construction, opened a stone hut on August 19, 1912 (in the picture on the right is the left, partially shaded part of the building). She was orphaned during the First World War. Then the dams of the Spullersee were built for the electrification of the Arlbergbahn, which caused problems for years due to vandalism and drunk construction workers. In order to prevent Jews excluded from the Alpine Association who had founded their own " Donauland Section " from buying the Ditteshütte located on Spullersee, the Ravensburg Section acquired it in 1927, overstretching its finances, and had it run by the tenant of the Ravensburger Hütte . The operation of the poorly visited Ditteshütte was an economic failure. After a setback for tourism as a result of the thousand-mark barrier , the Ravensburger Hütte was even partially in operation in winter. In 1945 the French occupying power confiscated the Ravensburger Hütte and dissolved the section classified as a National Socialist organization. In 1956 the newly founded Alpine Club Ravensburg was able to dispose of the (now run-down) hut again. It was repaired and extended (to the east) in 1958/59. After mountaineering boomed in the 1970s and 1980s, and the membership of the Ravensburg section doubled, it was expanded to the north in 1974/76 and was modernized. The hospitality has been switched to self-service. With hard physical labor, a cable was pulled through the tunnel that guides the water from Lake Zürs into Lake Spuller, and the house is connected to the power grid. The young team set up the winter room in the basement of the 1912 building. In 1988/89 a wastewater treatment plant was installed. In 2008/09 there was another expansion to the east. A seminar room, a climbing wall and rooms for the staff can be found in this extension. After the long-standing tenant Siegfried Zatsch (1980 to 2011), his successor switched the catering back to serving. The hut can be supplied via a goods route as well as via a material cable car .
