Raymond Philip Etteldorf (born August 18, 1911 in Ossian , Iowa , USA ; † March 15, 1986 ) was a curial archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Raymond Philip Etteldorf received on 8 December 1937, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 21, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Tyndaris and ordered him to apostolic delegate in New Zealand . Paul VI donated him episcopal ordination on January 6, 1969 ; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Archbishop Sergio Pignedoli , and the secretary of the Congregation for Bishops , Archbishop Ernesto Civardi . Paul VI appointed him on June 21, 1974. to the Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Ethiopia . In October 1982, it ordered Pope John Paul II. For ex officio in the Vatican Secretariat of State .

On December 27, 1984, Raymond Philip Etteldorf resigned as an official in the Vatican State Secretariat.
