Reinhard Dietze

Reinhard Dietze (born August 18, 1954 in Eichen ; † June 9, 2007 in Rodgau ) was a German gymnast, unicyclist and qualified sports teacher. Since 1987 he has worked for the German Olympic Sports Confederation in the Federal Committee for Competitive Sport as a speaker in the field of "Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy". He was also the trainer and gymnast of the Hessian Bundesliga club Spvgg Weiskirchen and a member of the global show gymnastics group "Los Barros".

Life

Reinhard Dietze attended elementary school in Eichen from 1961 to 1965. From 1965 to 1970 he was at the Fürst-Johann-Moritz-Gymnasium in Weidenau , then at the Gymnasium am Löhrtor in Siegen . There he passed the Abitur in 1974. After 18 months in the German Armed Forces (in the sports promotion group of the German Armed Forces in Mainz ), he began studying to become a qualified sports teacher at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. He passed his diploma examination there in 1981. Reinhard Dietze was married and the father of Stefanie Dietze and Felix Dietze , who won titles as unicyclists at German championships and world championships.

Career as a gymnast

Reinhard Dietze, who has belonged to TV Eichen 1888 since the 1960s, to the Siegerland Artistic Gymnastics Association since it was founded in 1973 and later to TSV Dudenhofen , was one of the top gymnasts in the Federal Republic of Germany in the 1970s in particular . His most successful year was the year 1976. He was German champion on parallel bars and took part in the Summer Olympics in Montréal . There he finished 5th with the team. In 1977 he took part in the European Championships in Vilnius , 1978 and 1979 in the World Championships in Strasbourg and Fort Worth . In 1979 he also won the title of German team champion with the Siegerland Artistic Gymnastics Association . After the end of his career, Dietze stayed true to his sport and took part victoriously in numerous German gymnastics festivals and German senior championships . Since 1990 he has always been the gymnastics champion in his disciplines and since 2000 he has been the German senior champion five times in a row, most recently in Berlin in 2005 , although already marked by his disease ( colon cancer ) . Dietze also won the Jahnturnen in Freyburg (Unstrut) and won the indoor gymnastics festival in Meissen five times . In addition, he won several German championship titles in unicycling for TSV Dudenhofen.
