action

Dodger Luke Mantee, who owns little more than a Jeep CJ-7 Renegade , his horse Joe Brown, and an old pair of boots, travels aimlessly across Arizona. His friend Moose, whose hands are tied in prison, asks Luke to look after his son Matt and his country house called Green Heaven until he is released.

A journey full of adventure begins for Matt and Luke. You meet two rabid truckers, a corrupt sheriff, a rocker gang hired as a thug group, various killers, happy pub-goers and, at the end of their journey, hospitable, religious neighbors. Luke and Matt enjoy the simple life and also fall in love with two neighboring girls.

Shortly after their arrival, the two friends are targeted by a mysterious land and property speculator named Lawson. He wants to buy their land from them.

After the country house is blown up, Luke seeks an immediate confrontation with the unknown boss. He finds out that this is an ex-comrade from the Vietnam War who was thought to be dead and who, like Luke, was a member of the Renegade Club , which is not explained in detail . This realization puts his and Matt's lives in immediate danger. After a spectacular hunt, Luke is caught by Lawson's henchmen. He should be eliminated. Matt has alerted the rockers and is still in time to save his friend. Lawson tries to escape by helicopter, but is arrested by Luke. For Moose this means release from prison, because Lawson was also responsible for his prison sentence through a bogus charge.

Luke and Matt go to pick up Moose. Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether they will return to Green Heaven later, where the rebuilding of the destroyed house is in full swing.

Reviews

"Episodically structured, harmless entertainment film that draws its moments of tension from a few stunt scenes."
