The Rengse is a 5.6 km long left tributary of the Agger in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . It flows through the Oberbergischer Kreis .

geography

The Rengse rises on the southern slope of the Homert in the Oberbergischer Kreis at 457  m above sea level. NHN , northeast of the village of Oberrengse belonging to Gummersbach . It flows in a south-westerly direction past Oberrengse, Hardt , Wörde and Niederrengse and feeds as the smallest of the three inlets at 284  m above sea level. NHN the eastern foothills or Rengsearm of the Aggertalsperre . On its 5.6 km long way from the source to the mouth, it fell 173 meters in altitude, which corresponds to a bottom gradient of 30.7 ‰.

Before the Aggertalsperre was built, the Rengse flowed into the Agger on the left between Bruchberg and Hackenberg . Their length was about 7 km.

Catchment area and tributaries

The 7.5 km² catchment area is drained to the North Sea via Agger , Sieg and Rhine .
