Rettenberg is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Iffeldorf in the Weilheim-Schongau district . The desert is about two kilometers east of the Iffeldorfer town center and less than 500 meters northeast of the Penzberg district of Kirnberg directly on the state road 2063 . The Penzberg / Iffeldorf junction of the federal motorway 95 is located about 500 meters to the northwest .

history

Was first mentioned in Rettenberg as "roetenberch" in Urbar the Lords of Seefeld - Peißenberg historical from the period between 1300 and 1320. Other forms of the name are röttenperg (1537), Redenperg (1550) and Retenperg (1719).

The Rettenberger ¹ ⁄ ₈ -Hof was subject to the Wessobrunn monastery until it became an electoral fiefdom , i.e. H. the farm was given to the farmer as a family property.

At the end of the Second World War , an SS unit was quartered in Rettenberg . On April 30, 1945, the Rettenberger Hof burned down as a result of a battle against the approaching American troops. It was later rebuilt.

The Iffeldorf golf course was built around Rettenberg from 1989 to 1991 and agriculture was given up. A clubhouse with a restaurant was built next to the courtyard .
