Reukersdorf is a district of the Saxon town of Olbernhau in the Erzgebirge district .

Reukersdorf is about 4.5 kilometers northwest of Olbernhau in the Ore Mountains . To the north, the Moosheide and Scheitwald forests border the field, while the Flöha forms the natural border in the southwest .
Reukersdorf is connected to Kleinneuschönberg, Wernsdorf and Blumenau via local roads.

history

Reukersdorf, entrance to the village

The first written mention of the place dates from 1429 as Reyckerstorff . With the Reformation in 1539, it was pastured to Hallbach, a branch church of the Parish Pfaffroda.

August Schumann describes Reukersdorf in the State Lexicon of Saxony in 1822 regarding, among other things:

“Reuckersdorf only contains around 200 residents and is parish to Halbach. [...]
There is a manor farm here , commonly called the farm, where about 30 cows are kept and to which very strong meadow wax belongs; but half of the large flea meadows are also cut to the Pfaffrodaer Hofe , and on these there are 4 hay barns because of the distance from Pfaffroda. "

Until the school in Kleinneuschönberg was built in 1840, the children attended the school in Hallbach.

On April 1, 1924, Reukersdorf was incorporated into Kleinneuschönberg, and in 1950 to Olbernhau.
