history

Band formation

Revolving Door 2006

The foundation stone for Revolving Door, formerly Tourniquet (French: revolving door , meaning that you are in a hopeless situation), was laid by bassist Sabrina Schöler and singer Liesa-Marie Fehrmann in Neuhaus am Rennweg in 2004. At that time there was no band name. Sabrina and Liesa-Marie got to know each other through the music school in Sonneberg and initially tried each other with a few friends as a band in the music school garage. In 2005 Felix Müller-Litz joined the band as a drummer and a month later Christian Rüger followed as lead guitarist. In June 2006, another singer, Tina Treßelt, joined. At the end of 2009 she left the band and Wiebke Marie Koschut followed as a new band member.

backgrounds

Rüger, Schöler and Fehrmann attended the Sonneberg Music School and took music lessons from the same teacher. Schöler first learned drums in 1998 , then guitar and finally bass until 2007. Rüger took guitar lessons from 1997 to 2006 and Fehrmann took guitar and singing lessons from 1998 to 2006. Müller-Litz took piano lessons from a private teacher from 1993 to 1998. In 2003 he began playing the drums in the band Scream of a Butterfly , formerly Eye Witness . In 2005 he joined Revolving Door. Rüger followed in the band as a guitarist. In 2006, Tourniquet was renamed Revolving Door, as a metal band called Tourniquet already existed. All band members attended the same high school at the time . When Wiebke joined the band in 2010, she had no band experience, but took singing lessons, piano lessons and dance lessons and performed in 2009 at the casting for Deutschland sucht den Superstar .

At the beginning of 2018, the band reorganized itself: Christian Rüger and Sabrina Schöler have left the band - Alexej Chemissov and Martin Neubauer have taken their place on guitar and bass.
