Ricardo Pedro Paglia

Ricardo Pedro Paglia MSC (born March 31, 1937 in Ponte Serrada , Santa Catarina ) is a Brazilian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Pinheiro .

Life

Ricardo Pedro Paglia joined the congregation of the Sacred Heart Missionaries and was ordained a priest on June 29, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Prelate of Pinheiro on July 3, 1979 . The Archbishop of São Paulo , Paulo Evaristo Cardinal Arns OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on September 7th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Afonso Maria Ungarelli MSC, Prelate Emeritus of Pinheiro, and Pedro Paulo Koop MSC, Bishop of Lins .

With the elevation of the territorial prelature to the diocese on October 16, 1979, he was appointed the first bishop of Pinheiro. On October 17, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
