Richard Gynge (born February 1, 1987 in Tyresö ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Växjö Lakers Hockey in the Svenska Hockeyligan since July 2019 .

Career

Richard Gynge began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Hammarby Hockey , for whose professional team he made his debut in the HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division, in the 2005/06 season . In the following two years, the winger was under contract with Brynäs IF , for which he only came to four appearances in the Elitserien , while he was on loan for Nybro Vikings IF , VIK Västerås HK and IK Oskarshamn in HockeyAllsvenskan. For Oskarshamn he was also on the ice in the 2008/09 season . For the 2009/10 season , the right-handed shooter moved to AIK Solna within HockeyAllsvenskan , with whom he immediately rose to the Elitserien. There he was able to develop into a leading player in the following two years.

For the 2012/13 season Gynge was obliged by HK Dynamo Moscow from the Continental Hockey League . At the beginning of January 2013 he moved within the KHL to HC Lev Prague before returning to Dynamo in May 2013. During the Expansion Draft on June 17, 2013, Gynge was selected by Admiral Vladivostok . In the following two years Gynge completed over 100 KHL games for Admiral before he returned to Sweden for the 2015/16 season and was signed by Växjö Lakers Hockey .

In May 2017 Gynge was signed by Kunlun Red Star . Due to this obligation, among other things, the general manager of Kunlun Red Star, Kretschin, was dismissed a few weeks later and Mike Keenan took over his position. Keenan sorted out Gynge before the start of the season, at the beginning of September 2017 it was then given to HK Tractor Chelyabinsk in exchange for Gilbert Brulé .

After two seasons for Traktor Chelyabinsk, Gynge returned to the Växjö Lakers in July 2019.
