Career

Career start in Sweden

Magyar grew up near Malmö. At the age of 8 he began playing football at Åkarps IF and came to Lunds BK via GIF Nike at the age of 15 after various trial training sessions, including at Malmö FF . There he stayed only one season, however, since he moved with his to Halmstad , and joined the local club BK Astrio . Here, too, he only stayed one season and switched to the offspring of the local professional club Halmstads BK . With the junior team he won the Swedish U-21 youth championship in 2009 and at the same time moved into the focus of Svenska Fotbollförbundet , for whose U19 youth national team he was appointed.

In 2010 Magyar moved up with other junior players in the extended professional squad of Halmstads BK and commuted between the junior and competitive teams. After he had impressed with good performances in the reserve team, he was in May of that year after an injury to Tomas Žvirgždauskas for the first time in the Allsvenskan on the field, but remained in the course of the season with a total of three league games initially still a substitute player. In the following season he was a regular with 20 starts, but rose with the team at the end of the season in the Superettan . Nevertheless, he moved into the squad of the Swedish U21 national team . In the second division season in 2012 he was involved in the direct promotion, as he scored four goals in regular time as well as one goal in the 3-0 first leg success over GIF Sundsvall in the relegation to Allsvenskan - a 3-4 defeat in the second leg was enough to success. In the following years he was also a regular player in the first division and became team captain .

Change abroad

After his contract with Halmstads BK expired at the end of 2014, Magyar switched to the Swiss Super League at the beginning of 2015 , and at FC Aarau he signed a working paper that was valid until summer 2017 in mid-January. There was already a fellow countryman under contract with Dušan Đurić .

Since the 2015 season he played at Hammarby IF .

In the summer of 2017, he moved again to German-speaking countries when he signed a contract with SpVgg Greuther Fürth until 2019. There he headed his first goal in the German second division on November 4, 2017 (13th matchday) in the game against SSV Jahn Regensburg . In the same game, however, he also incurred an own goal, so that the game was lost 3-2.

Return to Sweden

In the summer of 2019 Magyar returned to Hammarby IF and signed a contract valid until June 2022.
