River Falls is a town in Pierce County and St. Croix County in the north of the US -amerikanischen state of Wisconsin . In 2010 it had 15,000 inhabitants on an area of 115.7 km.

River Falls is located on the Kinnickinnic River in the Minneapolis - Saint Paul metropolitan area . The twin cities of Minneapolis - Saint Paul are 40-60 km to the west in Minnesota .
history
River Falls was founded in 1848 by Joel Foster and his servant under the name Greenwood . It was later renamed to its current name because there were already three other places called Greenwood in Wisconsin.
