The Rivière Manicouagan is a river in the Côte-Nord administrative region of the Canadian province of Québec .

Its source is the Manicouagan reservoir . From there it flows about 200 km in a southerly direction to flow into the St. Lawrence River at Baie-Comeau . Including its source river Rivière Mouchalagane , its flow length is 560 km. It is believed that the name comes from the Montagnais language and means "where birch trees are found".
