The Ryazansky rajon ( Russian Рязанский район ) is a raion in the Ryazan Oblast in Russia . The administrative center of the Rajon is the city of Ryazan , which itself does not belong to the Rajon.

The Ryazansky rajon borders in the north on the Klepikowski rajon , in the west on the Rybnowski rajon , in the east on the Spasski rajon , in the south on the Sacharowski rajon as well as the Pronski rajon and the Staroschilowski rajon .

The climate is temperate continental. The most important river in the Rajon is the Oka .

The Rajon was divided into 21 rural communities.
