The Kassimowski rajon ( Russian Касимовский район ) is a raion in the Ryazan Oblast in Russia . The administrative center of the Rajon is the city of Kassimow , which itself does not belong to the Rajon.

The Kassimowski rajon borders in the north on the Vladimir Oblast , in the west on the Klepikowski rajon , in the east on the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and the Yermishinsky rajon , in the south on the Spasski rajon as well as the Schilowski rajon and the Pitelinski rajon .

The climate is temperate continental. The most important river in the Rajon is the Oka .
