The Shilovsky rajon ( Russian Шиловский район ) is a raion in Ryazan Oblast in Russia . The administrative center of the Rajon is the urban-type settlement of Shilovo .

geography

The Schilowski rajon borders in the north on the Kassimowski rajon , in the west on the Spasski rajon and the Staroschilowski rajon , in the east on the Pitelinski rajon and the Tschutschkowski rajon , in the south on the Putjatinski rajon as well as the Saposchkowski rajon and the Korablinski rajon .

The climate is temperate continental. The most important river in the Rajon is the Oka .

The Rajon was divided into two municipalities ( Schilowskoje and Lesnowskoje gorodskoje posselenije ) and 15 rural municipalities.
